Call your attorney or title company at a phone number you confirmed independently - in person or by phone - before the transaction began. Read back the routing number, account number, and beneficiary name. Never rely on contact information provided in the email containing wire instructions. Never verify by replying to the email itself. Verbal confirmation using a pre-established number is the only reliable method.
