What do I need for a virtual closing in New York?

You need a government-issued photo ID, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone. Your attorney coordinates with a certified remote notary platform. The deed, transfer documents, and closing statements are signed electronically. Some title companies still prefer in-person closings, so confirm with your title company and lender that they accept remote execution before scheduling.
