Entitlement
Entitlement is the process of obtaining the governmental approvals needed for a project to proceed as proposed, especially where the proposal is not as-of-right. In NYC, entitlements for land-use changes commonly include ULURP-related actions and related environmental review completion supporting those discretionary decisions.
