Should I get a pre-listing home inspection?

Yes - a pre-listing inspection is one of your strongest defensive tools. When buyers know about existing conditions before they submit an offer, they cannot weaponize those same issues to demand price reductions during attorney review. You eliminate the "unwelcome surprise" that fuels re-trade attempts. The cost of a pre-listing inspection is trivial compared to the concessions it prevents.
