Should I offer a credit or make repairs myself after inspection?

Offer a credit - never agree to make repairs yourself. Repairs you commission are subject to buyer approval, scope creep, and disputes over quality. A fixed-dollar closing credit gives the buyer the economic benefit while eliminating your liability for execution. It also avoids delaying closing for contractor scheduling. The credit amount should match documented contractor quotes, not the buyer's inflated estimate.
