Should I wait for a better market to sell?

Waiting costs money - every month you hold, you incur mortgage payments, maintenance, taxes, insurance, and opportunity cost on trapped equity. Compare your projected monthly carrying costs against the realistic upside of waiting. If you would need prices to increase by more than your cumulative carrying costs to break even, waiting is mathematically irrational. A well-prepared listing in today's low-inventory environment often outperforms a rushed listing in a theoretically better future market.
